These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ask My Interview, including the website, the live transcription and question-answering tool, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Agreement to these terms
Ask My Interview ("we," "us," or "our") provides the Service described in these Terms. You can reach us at support@askmyinterview.com.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and us. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. The service
The Service captures audio from your microphone and, optionally, from a browser tab, window, or screen you choose to share, and streams it to a third-party speech-recognition provider to produce a live transcript. The Service detects questions in that transcript and, on request, sends the question text to a third-party AI provider to generate a suggested answer, which is streamed back to you.
The Service is provided on a pay-as-you-go basis: new accounts receive an initial free credit balance, and additional usage is metered against credits you purchase (see Section 7). We may change the free allowance, pricing, or credit metering at any time on a going-forward basis.
We may add, change, or remove features, or suspend or discontinue the Service or any part of it, at any time, with or without notice.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You may create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
The information you provide when registering (such as your email address) must be accurate and kept up to date. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
4. Your responsibility for lawful use
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful. Many jurisdictions restrict or prohibit recording, transcribing, or otherwise capturing a conversation, call, meeting, or interview without the knowledge or consent of some or all participants (so-called "one-party" or "all-party"/"two-party" consent laws), and some employers, schools, examination bodies, or platforms separately prohibit the use of AI-assistance tools during interviews, exams, or assessments.
Before using the Service in any conversation, interview, meeting, or examination, it is your responsibility to obtain any consent, provide any notice, or secure any permission required by applicable law or by the rules of any institution, employer, platform, or counterparty involved. We do not monitor your use of the Service for compliance with these obligations, and we are not responsible for how you choose to use it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including consent, wiretapping, privacy, or data-protection laws;
- Violate the terms, policies, code of conduct, or academic-integrity rules of any employer, school, examination provider, certification body, or platform where those rules apply to your use;
- Harass, defraud, impersonate, or infringe the rights of any other person;
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems;
- Share your account credentials with, or allow use of your account by, anyone other than you; or
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the Service outside of the intended interface.
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section, as described in Section 10.
6. AI-generated content
Answers drafted by the Service are generated by a third-party AI model and are provided for your assistance only. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. You are responsible for reviewing and independently verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it, and for how you choose to use it in an actual conversation or interview, including whether disclosure of AI assistance is required by any applicable rule or agreement.
7. Credits, payment & refunds
Transcription time is metered in credits (one credit equals one second of transcription). New accounts receive a limited free credit balance. Additional credits can be purchased in fixed packages through our payment processor, Stripe. Purchases are one-time (there is no recurring subscription), and prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout.
All purchases are final except as required by applicable law or as we otherwise agree at our discretion. If you believe you were charged in error or wish to request a refund for unused credits, contact support@askmyinterview.com within [NUMBER] days of purchase; we will review requests on a case-by-case basis. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may expire or be forfeited if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers to function, including a speech-to-text provider for live transcription, an AI provider for generating answers, Stripe for payment processing, and Google for optional sign-in. Your use of these features means your data (including audio, transcript text, and question text you submit) is processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
9. Intellectual property
We (or our licensors) own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, and branding. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You retain ownership of the audio and text you submit through the Service, and grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service to you.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including for suspected violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or account sharing, or non-payment. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 9, 11, 12, and 13) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TRANSCRIPTS OR AI-GENERATED ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OR ALL OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Law Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Venue], except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
